Fanucci Editore will be publishing an Italian translation of the Golden Fool.

And although there aren't yet any samples online, Jackie Morris will illustrate covers for new Lindholm paperbacks as well.

And we can add one more story to the upcoming writings list: a Robin Hobb short story in an anthology from Subterranean Press edited by Yanni Kuznia - no title for the story or the book nor a release date are known yet.

Also - don't forget to keep an eye on Jackie Morris' journal - some very fascinating art for the reprints of the Tawny Man trilogy seem to be taking shape.

(part 2/3 of the split translation of Forest Mage), by Pygmalion

* La porte du Limbreth (The Limbreth Gate), paperback by J'ai lu

* Le soldat rêveur, vol 2 of Le Soldat Chamane (second half of Shaman's
Crossing), paperback by J'ai lu

* Ombres et flammes, vol 8 of Les aventuriers de la mer (part 2/3 of the split translation of Ship of Destiny), paperback by J'ai lu

Also, prior to her visit to the Imaginales 2008 festival (May 22th - 25th) Robin is expected to make an appearance May 19th in Fnac Saint-Lazare - though this event is still tentative. More information in French at Rivages Maudits.

A French publisher of children's books called Baam! is releasing yet another French edition of the Farseer trilogy. The first part, L'apprenti assassin will be released tomorrow, the 11th of March, the parts 2 and 3 (originally Royal Assassin) will be published in June and October, and the three parts of Assassin's Quest in 2009.

Some Megan Lindholm stories are being republished as well: 12th of March a paperback edition of Alien Earth by Le livre de poche and 13th of March paperback editions of Le peuple des rennes (The Reindeer People) and Le frère du loup (Wolf's Brother) by Pocket.

- somehow this has managed to slip past my eyes unnoticed, but there's a really lovely essay by Robin Hobb at her HarperCollins author page about how some stories come to her. It's titled A River Runs Under It. (Edited to update the link, thanks Lucide!)

- Fantasybookspot has put up a review about Renegade's Magic.

- the French fansite Rivages Maudits has gone through an impressing overhaul (try it through Babelfish if you don't know any French, it's worth it!)

If you look at the February page of her blog, you can also see some drafts for the Soldier Son trilogy as well as a finished piece of what appears to be Orandula.
