Two new Robin Hobb interviews

Robin did a live interview with Vicki St. Clair on March 1^st. The podcast for the episode is now available. You can listen to it either by clicking on the embedded player here or you can download the podcast episode from the RSS feed here (it’s the episode titled “Conversations with Three Pacific Northwest Authors”). The part with Robin’s interview starts around 21 minutes. They talk about the basic plot of Dragon Keeper among other things, but no big spoilers.

Suvudu has a really nice review of Robin’s upcoming short story The Triumph along with a few very good questions about the real historical background for this story, as well as writing short stories and for anthologies. Hobb & Lindholm drabbles now available online

The 110/110 book that was published in January to celebrate the 110^th birthday of University Book Store is now available free online at their website. Among these 110 words long stories are Euthanasia by Robin Hobb and Alone by Megan Lindholm. The book is available in 8 .pdf files—the RH & ML stories are in part 7. “Interpretation of Dreams”. You can still get an actual copy of this book for free when you buy a contributing author’s book from the Univeristy Store—this also applies to online orders.

Props to Willem for noticing the whole book is now downloadable! :)

The UK hardcover edition of Dragon Haven by Robin Hobb is officially out today. This is the second volume to the Rain Wild Chronicles : The Dragon Keeper. Out today are also the audio book of Dragon Haven, and the regular size paperback for Dragon Keeper! US hardback and audio book editions of Dragon Haven will be released in May, and so will the Dutch translation, Drakenziel. Dragon Haven out in Australia today

The Australian Robin Hobb fans get a nice head start this week: Dragon Haven is out today in Australia, both in hardcover and the large format trade paperback. Europeans will have to wait a few more days: the UK hardback and the audio book will be officially released the 4^th of March, with the US hardcover and audio book editions to follow in May.
While you wait, you can read the first chapter of Dragon Haven online, it’s a 53 pages .pdf file

Dragon Haven will be available on March 1^st in Australia and March 4^th in the UK. The US edition by Eos will be published May 11^th. An unabridged audiobook will be released in May also.

Robin Hobb’s latest myspace entry states that Songs of Love and Death, the cross-genre anthology of fantasy and romance edited by G.R.R. Martin and Gardner Dozois now has a publication date of November 16^th 2010. Robin’s story in the collection is titled Blue Boots. Martin previously reported that the anthology has been delivered to the publisher.

The Dutch translation of Dragon Haven now has a finalised cover art and a publication date. De Kronieken van de Wilde Regenlanden tweede boek: Drakenziel will be available 1^st of May 2010. The book will be published by Luitingh Fantasy.
