US covers for Dragon Keeper and Dragon Haven

Sep 7, 2009 filed under: Robin Hobb, US

Robin has updated the book covers album in her myspace, and it looks like the US cover for the Dragon Keeper has gone through some changes. The fonts are now much more consistent with those used for the Liveship traders trilogy (the first released cover image has fonts similar to the Soldier Son trilogy). Well, nothing is final until the books are printed of course. You can see the US covers for both parts of the Rain Wild Chronicles here. The US edition of Dragon Keeper is out in January 2010 and is available for preorders.

So… does that Dragon Haven cover mean they’re really going to find Kelsingra?
I’m not really keen on the look of those dragons—too computery. Although the rest of the DH cover is rather pretty…

Random quote

A storm of gems they were.
Scaled wings jewel-like glittered.
Eyes flaming, wings fanning
The dragons came.

Too flashing bright for memory to hold.
The promise of a thousand songs fulfilled.
Claws shredding, jaws devouring
The King returned.
