Assassin’s Apprentice 20 years special edition

Robin’s UK publisher HarperCollins have just released a beautiful special edition of Assassin’s Apprentice to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The book is slipcased and features endpapers by John Howe as well as an introduction by the author. Even better, there are plans to re-publish the other two volumes of the first trilogy in a similar format so it will be possible to collect a matching set!

A Coincidence of Birth available in digital format

The first of Megan Lindholm’s Liavek stories, A Coincidence of Birth has been republished in an ebook volume titled Liavek 2. It’s available from both amazon.com and amazon.co.uk and it looks like the rest of the stories are soon to follow.

Beyond Words calendar w Robin Hobb published

Lauren Zurchin has finished the Beyond Words 2016 Author Calendar and it is available for purchase at the Tinker’s Packs (and they ship internationally). Robin’s photo graces the page for the month of August. All proceeds from the sales of the calendar go to bookish charities.

Fool’s Quest excerpts, giveaways, signings etc

Both the UK and the US editions of Fool’s Quest have now been published.
If you’re still waiting to get your copy, there are a couple of official excerpts to enjoy: io9 posted a short one and Suvudu published the first 50 pages.

Jackie Morris is doing another lovely giveaway at her blog where you could win a copy of Fool’s Quest that comes with a unique drawing by her and a signed label from Robin.

Earth & Sea Auction is auctioning off a set of stamps with Jackie’s Icefyre on them—these stamps are not available to buy anywhere. You can locate the auction through the gallery on that page.

On the 15th of August at 5PM, Robin will be at the Barnes & Noble in Olympia, Washington doing a reading, a questions and answers session and signing books.
On the 9thof September at 7 PM, she will be at Powell’s books in Beaverton, Oregon.

Robin also did a reddit Ask Me Anything a few days ago.

Fool’s Quest release information

Fool’s Quest will be launched officially at University Book Store in the U district of Seattle, Washington on the 11th of August at 7PM. If you can’t get to the event, you can still pre-order a signed copy through them. Another option of getting a signed copy is through The Signed Page.
