Harpy's Fligh is the first book in the Windsingers' Quartet although it was not the first story set in that world. The short stories Bones for Dulath (AMAZONS! 1979) and The Small One (Fantastic Stories Vol.27, #11. 1980) were published previously but chronologically Harpy's Flight is the first story of the adventures of Ki and Vandien.
