A new Megan Lindholm story announced

A new short story by Megan Lindholm is set to be included in Unfettered III, an upcoming fantasy anthology edited by Shawn Speakman. The title has not been revealed yet, but it is described as a “ghost story”. The book is scheduled to be published on the 19th of March 2019. Free sample from The Book of Swords

Unbound Worlds is currently offering an excerpt of the first 50 pages of the Book of Swords anthology. The Book of Swords features a Six Duchies story titled Her Father’s Sword and as it happens to be the second story in the book, it’s fully included in this sample!

The Book of Swords has also started to appear around the world in translations this year, including Bulgarian, Italian, Polish and Portuguese. It will also have a followup volume titled The Book of Magic in October, which will include a new Megan Lindholm story.

Hobb to visit the Netherlands, Portugal and Italy

Robin has just confirmed her traveling schedule for the rest of 2018.
First up is Castlefest in the Netherlands from the 2nd to the 5th of August.
Then there’s Festival Bang! in Lisbon, Portugal on the 27th of October. They’ve put up a video on youtube about it!
And then she’ll also attend the Lucca Comics and Games in Lucca, Italy which takes place form the 31st of October to the 4th of November.

Robin Hobb wins the Gemmell Legend Award

Robin Hobb has won the 2018 Legend Award for Assassin’s Fate at the Gemmell Awards, as announced at Edge-Lit in Derby, UK yesterday. This is the tenth year of the Gemmell Awards, which are given for fantasy novels in the traditional, heroic, epic or high genres, or in the spirit of David Gemmell’s own work. The Legend Award is given to the fantasy title judged to be the previous year’s best by open vote. Congratulations, Robin!

Robin is visiting Poland and France soon

Next weekend, from the 18th to the 20th of May, Robin Hobb will be at Pyrkon in Poznań, Poland. You can see her schedule here.

After that, she will be at Imaginales in Epinal, France from the 25th to the 27th—the schedule for that is here. She might also be visiting Paris, so stay tuned for updates if you’d like to meet her there.
