Imaginales is getting closer
10 May, 2008 filed under: Robin Hobb, France
Christophe Vacher (who illustrated the US covers for the Soldier Son trilogy) has been nomined for the Imaginales Award in the illustration’s category for his cover of Le Cavalier Rêveur (it’s the same as the US cover for Shaman’s Crossing).
Imaginales will be held May 22th—25th, but Robin is coming to France even earlier: there will be a press conference on the 19th of May at the Fnac Saint-Lazare in Paris at 15:00 to 18:00 (3PM to 6PM) as well as another event on the 21st of May at the Fnac of Nancy at 17:30 (5:30PM). If you’re attending, Rivages Maudits is the place that keeps you updated.

Patrick has posted a new coloured piece from the upcoming French graphic adaptation of the Farseer trilogy. It’s originally from Rivages Maudits and shows the first meeting of Fitz and Burrich as well as some adventures of Fitz and Nosy. You can see it here.
//Edited to add information from Robin and Lucide:
The first part of the graphic novel has been turned in to the publisher and Laurent Sieurac, the illustrator, has begun work on the second one. The first part is scheduled to be released this September and the cover will be drawn by Didier Graffet.

Robin just left a note about a couple of more publishing news:
Fanucci Editore will be publishing an Italian translation of the Golden Fool.
And although there aren’t yet any samples online, Jackie Morris will illustrate covers for new Lindholm paperbacks as well.
