'''L'Assassin Royal''' is a series of 9 graphic novels based on the [[Farseer trilogy]] by Robin Hobb. They are published by the French Soleil Productions. Each part is planned to be 47 pages long. The albums are a collaboration by the writer [[Jean-Charles Gaudin]], the illustrator [[Laurent Sieurac]] (parts 1 & 2) and [[Christophe Picaud]] (from part 3 onwards) and the colourist [[Fabien Alquier]].
In November 2010 a Dutch translation of Part 1 will be released,[[#1.1|1]] followed by a translation of Part 2 in February 2011.[[#2.1|2]] As of October 2010, there is no information about any other translations, including any English one.

'''Lord Golden''' is one of [[The Fool]]s' three known guises. The Fool hid as Lord Golden during the time he was browning, and also so that he could wander around [[Buckkeep]] without being regarded upon as more than another Lord rather than the late King [[Shrewd]]s jester.

Lord Golden helped the crown in the first parts of the [[Piebald Rebellion]].

Already famous for his seemingly bottomless wealth, Lord Golden became a favourite at court after an incident took place involving Lord [[Civil]], spawning rumours about his sexuality that in turn caused many to question his relationship with his manservant [[Tom Badgerlock]], including [[Starling|Starling Birdsong]] who had no idea about his true identity. The Fool removed Lord Golden by frittering away all of his wealth on friends & parties and had him having to flee from people he was indebted to.

He takes exceedingly good care of his clothes, and in the choosing of them, wearing only the best of silks and the most exotic of materials in keeping with his rather mysterious origins. He appears to be in his early twenties.

== Appearance ==

Dark haired, dark skinned and dark eyed, Fitz is considered typically Farseer-like in his looks, baring a striking resemblance to his father. Although he does not think himself so, Fitz is also said to be handsome, even with his numerous scars.

== Parentage and childhood ==

Fitz is the son of prince [[Chivalry (King-In-Waiting)|Chivalry]] [[Farseer]] and an unknown Mountain woman. His grandfather brought him to [[Verity]] when he was about six years old. Verity was in [[Moonseye]] at the time, so his mother probably lived nearby. As he was a bastard of the [[King-in-Waiting]], he was the reason for his father's abdication from the crown. Fitz doesn't remember his childhood before coming to the Farseers, or has decided to forget it, hence always being vague when it comes to his age. He actually has some memories, but denies remembering them and later puts them into a [[Stone-dragon]].

Fitz was given to [[Burrich]], Chivalry's right hand man, to raise.

== Early years ==

Fitz grew up in [[Buckkeep]]. He first lived in the [[Buckkeep stables]] with Burrich. His first companion and friend was a puppy, [[Nosy]], with whom he formed his first [[Wit-bond]]. With Nosy he roamed around in the [[Buckkeep town]] and was known there as [[Newboy]]. As Newboy, he came to know [[Molly]] Chandler.

When Burrich noticed their Wit-bond, Nosy was taken away from him and Fitz believed Burrich had killed him.

When he got King [[Shrewd]]'s attention, he got a room in the keep and formal training of a royal.

Evil berry:

The '''Forged''' are people that are ripped their emotions and connections to all things living. Their soul and humanity are gone. They think only of themselves and their pleasure or needs at the current moment. They can't plan ahead or really work together.

The technique of actual forging isn't known. It was used during the [[Red Ship War]]s by [[Kebal Rawbread]] and it was somehow involved with [[memory stone]]. The [[Red Ship Raider]]s took prisoners and demanded ransom for not releasing them. This was first laughed at and no ransoms were paid. The prisoners that were returned were forged and caused a lot of sorrow to their relatives, as there was no cure to a forged one but death. When this became known, then if Raiders came, people rather took their own lives and those of their children than allowed themselves to be taken prisoners and forged.

"Forging" is a [[Six Duchies]] term and comes from the village of [[Forge]] in [[Buck]]. The first know case of forging happened there.

Timelines might be more difficult build, I think we'd need to figure out some kind of "x years after Fitz was born" or "so-and-so's reign" system. Was Wintrow really Amber's Catalyst? I got the impression that he ''could have been'', but Amber "found" him too late. Instead, Amber made changes (proven by the change of her skin) through Althea (helping her to go aboard Reaper as a boy), the slaves (by telling them to get organized) and Paragon (helping Althea & Brashen to sail him again so he was able to meet Kennit). I can't remember Amber and Wintrow meeting for more than once which was during the negotiations after Kennit's death. She had a shop in Bingtown selling wood jewellery she had carved herself.

Amber was instrumental in the raising of the [[Liveship]] [[Paragon]], as well as helping [[Althea Vestrit]] out when she first ran away from her home. Amber was looking for a nine-fingered slaveboy, but couldn't find him. Her real [[Catalyst]] (instead of Althea) would have been [[Wintrow Vestrit]], Althea's nephew. She does only partly achieve in her mission: the dragon [[Tintaglia]] is awaken. Tintaglia and [[She Who Remembers]] guide the [[sea serpent|sea serpents]] to cocooning place, but the new-born dragons are weak and can't manage on their own.

The Fool drops this guise when he returned to the [[Six Duchies]] during the events of the Tawny Man trilogy. However he (or she) stepped into the guise of Amber again when a former shipmate, [[Jek]], pays a visit. The transformation is so complete it raised more questions concerning The Fool.

Instead, White Prophets appear here and there from an ordinary folk with normal bloodlines. There is supposed to be only one White Prophet at any one time. They are born with white skin and colourless eyes, but each time they work a chance in the world, they suffer from an illness that leaves them a shade darker.

To each White Prophet, there is a [[Catalyst]] that only the White Prophet can recognize. Through and together with the Catalyst the White Prophet aims to alter the events of time into a better path, for it is believed that otherwise the events will only repeat themselves and lead us all into a deeper darkness.

The philosophy about White Prophets and Catalyst is know in [[Jamaillia]] and the [[Six Duchies]], but its origins are far to the south.

Instead of houses as found in the [[Six Duchies]], Jhaampe is made up of hundreds of tents, all of different colours, though purple and yellow is the prevalent colour, creating a look that is often described as lotus nestled amongst the mountains. The sites in which tents can be pitched is carefully marked out with stones, and the sites are always kept clean. People of the Mountain Kingdom come to Jhaampe and leave without apparent warning.

The [[Sacrifice]] housing quarters were made over several years by pruning tree's to grow in a certain way and then putting various layers of cloth and clay over the top of them to create a sort of giant pavilion.
