Lord Golden helped the crown in the first parts of the Piebald Rebellion.

Already famous for his seemingly bottomless wealth, Lord Golden became a favourite at court after an incident took place involving Lord Civil, spawning rumours about his sexuality that in turn caused many to question his relationship with his manservant Tom Badgerlock, including Starling Birdsong who had no idea about his true identity. The Fool removed Lord Golden by frittering away all of his wealth on friends & parties and had him having to flee from people he was indebted to.
He takes exceedingly good care of his clothes, and in the choosing of them, wearing only the best of silks and the most exotic of materials in keeping with his rather mysterious origins. He appears to be in his early twenties.

The bastard son of King-In-Waiting Chivalry, bonded to the wolf Nighteyes. Witted and Skilled.

Names
Fitz has many alias's in the trilogies.

Fitz, the name most commonly used by people in reference to him, although there are also varients on this, such as uncapitalized 'fitz' on his first appearance at Buckkeep castle, called so by Burrich.

Farseer is his official name, recorded by Verity on his coming to Buckkeep, named for what he was: the bastard son of Civalry.

Keppet, the name that his mother was thought to have given him, as heard in various memories Fitz has of her.

Nameless the dog-boy, used as a derogatory name for Fitz when he was a child, by Regal and his hangers-on at court, in response to his living and working with the dogs in the stables.

Newboy, a nickname given to him by the children he became friends with in Buckkeep town and his sweet-heart, Molly.

Tom, the code name given in the letters between Civalry and Verity, stemming from Verity calling Fitz a little 'Tom-cat'.

Thomas, what Patience calls Fitz, most probably stemming from the above name.

Changer, what he was named by the Men of the mysterious Naming Ceremony that took place in his youth, and also the name given to him by Nighteyes.

Catalyst, a title given to him by the Fool.

Tom Badgerlock, an alias taken on after the Red Ship Wars and he wanted Fitz to remain dead. As well as being another name, Tom Badgerlock gradually became a whole other persona. When asked why the name Badgerlock, he states he was given the name by his parents after being born with a white streak in his hair, that was actually the result of a blow to his head.

Beloved, taken in the tradition of the Fool's country, giving names to one another that tell of the bonds that you share.

Cob, a name he took briefly in his travels.

Jor, (??)

Bed Bolster, (??)

Appearance
Dark haired, dark skinned and dark eyed, Fitz is considered typically Farseer-like in his looks, baring a striking resemblance to his father. Although he does not think himself so, Fitz is also said to be handsome, even with his numerous scars.

Parentage and childhood
Fitz is the son of prince Chivalry Farseer and an unknown Mountain woman. His grandfather brought him to Verity when he was about six years old. Verity was in Moonseye at the time, so his mother probably lived nearby. As he was a bastard of the King-in-Waiting, he was the reason for his father's abdication from the crown. Fitz doesn't remember his childhood before coming to the Farseers, or has decided to forget it, hence always being vague when it comes to his age. He actually has some memories, but denies remembering them and later puts them into a Stone-dragon.

Fitz was given to Burrich, Chivalry's right hand man, to raise.

Early years
Fitz grew up in Buckkeep. He first lived in the Buckkeep stables with Burrich. His first companion and friend was a puppy, Nosy, with whom he formed his first Wit-bond. With Nosy he roamed around in the Buckkeep town and was known there as Newboy. As Newboy, he came to know Molly Chandler.

When Burrich noticed their Wit-bond, Nosy was taken away from him and Fitz believed Burrich had killed him.

When he got King Shrewd's attention, he got a room in the keep and formal training of a royal.

Training
Chade, loyalty to Shrewd, Sooty, Galen, the Skill, the Fool, Patience, the naming ceremony - Changer

Actions during the Red Ship War
Poisoning the Forged, serving aboard the warship, meeting Nighteyes, dying, travelling to the Mountain Kingdom and back, Regal, Kettricken, Verity teaching the Skill, reasons leading to following the trail of Verity, Jhaampe, Kettle, the ruined Elderling city, fathering of Dutiful, giving up on Molly, killing all the bad guys. Elfbark should probably be mentioned here.

Quiet years as Tom Badgerlock
Tom Badgerlock
Basically covered in the end of AQ and in the first few chapters of FE where he accounts his doings to the Fool. Travelling around with Nighteyes, visiting Cursed Shores and Bingtown, finding the cabin, Starling visiting, Hap, Jinna

Return to Buckkeep
Acting as a servant to Lord Golden, going after Dutiful, the death of Nighteyes, problems with Jinna, Hap and the Witted.

Journey to Aslevjal and beyound
Sailing to the Out Islands, journeying above and belove the glacier, meeting the Pale Woman, travelling through Skill-pillars several times, bringing the Fool back to life.

Ever After
Taking the role of king in anything but name, winning back Molly etc.

The Forged are people that are ripped their emotions and connections to all things living. Their soul and humanity are gone. They think only of themselves and their pleasure or needs at the current moment. They can't plan ahead or really work together.

The technique of actual forging isn't known. It was used during the Red Ship Wars by Kebal Rawbread and it was somehow involved with memory stone. The Red Ship Raiders took prisoners and demanded ransom for not releasing them. This was first laughed at and no ransoms were paid. The prisoners that were returned were forged and caused a lot of sorrow to their relatives, as there was no cure to a forged one but death. When this became known, then if Raiders came, people rather took their own lives and those of their children than allowed themselves to be taken prisoners and forged.

* List of most wanted pages: these are articles that don't yet exist but other articles are trying to link to. Maybe you could help by adding content to some of them so they are created? Just click on the red links and start writing.

* And there's also a list of all existing pages if you don't want to create new pages. Simply choose one of these and start adding information.

* Fitz needs some attention. I realize it's going to be one leeeeenghty article, but even if some of you could devote a little time to write a section or two for starters, that would be great. :)
References
On the site Trader Bay. An unofficial Robin Hobb page by Adam Rosser. (with (incomplete) Character List and Timeline), a reference system is used for the Timeline. For example: "I.1" for Book I chapter 1. Maybe we can use a similar system to refer to the books of Robin Hobb. For example: "FT I 1." for The Farseer trilogy Book I chapter 1. Evil berry 22:55, 16 May 2006 (EEST)
: Yes, we could do references by book and chapter. Another option is to build a timeline (or probably several) with a tool like this. As I've tried to keep the articles free from references to the books, I'd prefer a timeline system, but I'm always willing to hear other opinions. Timelines might be more difficult build, I think we'd need to figure out some kind of "x years after Fitz was born" or "so-and-so's reign" system. Referencing to books on the other hand makes reading the article more messy - in my opinion. Mervi 02:41, 17 May 2006 (EEST)
:: I've created a timeline (not with EasyTimeline, because it doesn't seem to work on this wiki) on my Userpage. It's only a rough sketch, but it gives an impression of how a timeline could be. Evil berry 20:53, 19 May 2006 (EEST)

She had a shop in Bingtown selling wood jewellery she had carved herself.

Amber was instrumental in the raising of the Liveship Paragon, as well as helping Althea Vestrit out when she first ran away from her home. Amber was looking for a nine-fingered slaveboy, but couldn't find him. Her real Catalyst (instead of Althea) would have been Wintrow Vestrit, Althea's nephew. She does only partly achieve in her mission: the dragon Tintaglia is awaken. Tintaglia and She Who Remembers guide the sea serpents to cocooning place, but the new-born dragons are weak and can't manage on their own.
The Fool drops this guise when he returned to the Six Duchies during the events of the Tawny Man trilogy.
Fitz doesn't remember his childhood before coming to the Farseers, or has decided to forget it.

She is older than the Fool and had already left the same school when his parents sent him to there. Instead of houses as found in the Six Duchies, Jhaampe is made up of hundreds of tents, all of different colours, though purple and yellow is the prevalent colour, creating a look that is often described as lotus nestled amongst the mountains.
