The Mountain "prince,", son of [[Eyod]] and older brother of [[Kettricken]]. He worked with King-in-Waiting [[Chivalry (King-In-Waiting)|Chivalry]] during the negotiation of the border treaties between the [[Mountain Kingdom]] and the [[Six Duchies]].
Rurisk had been wounded to in the lungs by an arrowin his early adulthood, but recovered well.
He was for the alliance with the Six Duchies and supported the marriage between [[Verity]] and Kettricken.
Rurisk died of drinking poisoned wine, despite [[Fitz]]'s best efforts to save his life. The wine had been a gift from [[Regal]]. This left Kettricken the sole heir of the Mountain Kingdom.
There is also a [[Rurisk (warship)|warship]] that Verity named after him.
