Carryme
A leaf to sleep, two to dull pain, three for a merciful grave.
Chyurdan saying about carryme.
Carryme is a Mountain herb that can be used as a powerful sedative and pain-killer. In larger doses it is sometimes used to for euthanasia as the Mountain folk regard death as a kind option for badly disabled or the very elderly. The taste of carryme is pungent but not unpleasant.
Kettricken used it when she tried to kill Fitz, thinking that he would kill her brother Prince Rurisk if she didn't act first. Carryme was also the herb used by Burrich to "kill" Fitz so that he could escape Regal's dungeons. Fitz later uses the herb to deaden the various pains he suffers from, usually mixing it with elfbark.
