the Rooster Crown by John Howe.

A wooden circlet that Amber finds among Igrot's hidden trove in the tree-tops of the Rain Wilds. The Fool and Fitz had both seen it in a vision they shared in the plaza beyond the Mountain Kingdom where it was painted and had cockerel feathers, made of wizardwood, in it.

Fitz later finds the missing feathers that fit into it on the Treasure Beach. The Fool uses it as a bargaining piece with Girl-on-a-Dragon to fly him to Aslevjal.

It is smashed when the Fool is tortured and killed. The Fool re-assembles most of the crown with his blood, save one piece left in the Pale Woman's chamber room. Fitz finds it when searching for the Fool and finishes the crown which aids him with the resurrection of the Fool.

The crown is made of wizardwood and contains the lives of 5 famous bards and poets, who were the companions of dragons.
