Wasn't Bendir actually his half-brother? Or Kys half-sister? And wasn't there another sister... I only remember that all Jani's children didn't have the same father, because he she took another husband after the first one "drowned in memories".Kys is his younger half-sister, and Tillamon is his older sister. I think he may have other sisters, as in City of Dragons Malta thinks about how "none of Reyn's sisters had ever seemed to resent her".
