The '''Duke of Buck''' is presumably a defunct role in the governing of the [[Six Duchies]]. Previously held by King [[Virile]]'s brother, it has not been an active role until extenuating circumstances in [[Regal]]'s reign. When Regal moved the capital of the Six Duchies from [[Buckkeep]] (located in [[Buck]]), to [[Tradeford]] (located in [[Farrow]]), Regal assigned the Duke of Farrow, Lord [[Bright]], to rule in Buckkeep as the Duke of Buck.
When the capital was moved back to Buckkeep, that role was eliminated and the role of Duke/Duchess of Farrow was reinstated.
