The '''Duke of Buck''' is presumably a defunct role in the governing of the [[Six Duchies]]. Previously It was a role previously held by King [[Virile]]'s brother, it [[Strategy]]. Duke of Buck was not maintained actively after [[Canny]], Strategy's son and heir to the Duke of Buck title, ascended the throne. It has not been an active role until extenuating circumstances in [[Regal]]'s reign. When Regal moved the capital of the Six Duchies from [[Buckkeep]] (located in [[Buck]]Duchy), to [[Tradeford]] (located in [[Farrow]]Duchy), Regal assigned the Duke of Farrow, Lord [[Bright]], to rule in Buckkeep as the Duke of Buck.
