Sylve

Sylve is the human/Elderling keeper of the dragon Mercor.

She is the youngest of the keepers, but is paired with the wisest and oldest-seeming of the dragons. In Dragon Keeper, she becomes friends with Thymara, Tats and Rapskal. The three of them take on the task of caring for two dragons who are without keepers.

Despite her youth and inexperience, she proves to be tenacious and capable, acting on her own to care for the silver keeperless dragon when others are not available to care for him. She forms a mutually affectionate bond with Mercor and begins to build a deep understanding of her dragon.

In Dragon Haven, she becomes attached to Harrikin, although he acts as her protector rather than a lover.
